A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our Guidance Counsellors Seminar in January. We had a fantastic turnout, and there was a great interest in all the talks especially Professor Barbara Dooley’s session on Understanding and Supporting Youth Mental Health. Prof. Dooley from UCD’s School of Psychology and co-founder of the UCD Youth Mental Health Lab, shared valuable insights. For those who couldn’t attend, I’ve attached her presentation here and have also requested for it to be added to the IGC website for easy access.

Careers with Gaeilge Fair February 17 
This is open to all students considering a career with gaeilge. It is being held in UCD from 12 to 16:00. With over 40 organisations attending and panel discussions. For more information see the posters attached.
 
So You Want to Be a Doctor? 24-28 February
UCD School of Medicine and St. Vincent’s University Hospital (SVUH) invite you and your students to attend this insightful webinar series. The event features half-hour talks from SVUH consultant specialists across various medical fields, including general practice, anaesthesiology, surgery, pathology, neurology, cardiology, obstetrics, and more. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to hear directly from practicing consultants about life as a doctor and the wide range of career paths available in medicine. See more details here.
