The mocks are fast approaching and your 6th year students have almost finished their final semester in Secondary School. This week's Newsletter is not only for you, Guidance Counsellors, but also to be shared with your students' Parents and Guardians.

We have many exciting events coming up this semester but first up we have one specifically designed for Parents and Guardians 👇

DCU invites you to our in-person Parent/Guardian Information Evening on Tuesday, February 24 from 6pm. This event is designed to support parents/guardians of students who are considering Level 8, University, study after their Leaving Certificate. This event will be suitable for those who have not been through the CAO process before but will also serve as a refresher for those who have.

Postgraduate Open Day, 11 March 2026

Whether you are looking to upskill your career or to pursue a passion project, DCU offers over 80 Postgraduate courses.

Join us on Wednesday, March 11 from 4pm to explore options and chat to our academic staff and current students about what life is like at DCU.

Our CAO Hub is the first stop in exploring everything DCU has to offer. With specific content tailored for TYs, 5th year, 6th year and Parents, our CAO Hub is the perfect place to begin your research.

On our Hub you will be able to view our online prospectus, chat with current Undergraduate students, and find advice for prospective students. And there are links to additional resources you will need to be successful in your University journey.

Additionally an Open Day is an excellent way for your students to figure out if DCU could be their future. The next dates are in mid April and late June, and are intended for your 5th and 6th years. We will of course be hosting our energetic and popular Transition Year Open Day too!

Our TY Open Day is being held on Tuesday 5 May 2026 on our Glasnesvin Campus. We will be releasing more information next month on how you can secure your school's place.
