The Ballyfermot Radio & Podcasting Course has now partnered with the prestigious Talk Radio Europe based in Marbella Spain. Talk Radio Europe – Marbella Spain
The newest Erasmus+ Partner Talk Radio Europe started in 2008, Talk Radio Europe offers a 24-hour schedule of news, interviews, discussion, and debate and is a World Media Partner with BBC World Service and is affiliated to IRN/SKY News.
Spain’s largest English language radio network, broadcasting from the Costa del Sol reaching 500,000 English speaking consumers in the important 30+ ABC1 demographic. Talk Radio Europe also has a large online listenership worldwide in addition to FM And DAB broadcasts.
Zoe McKenna & Mark Hanbridge of Radio and Podcasting, Production & Presenting presented segments on the breakfast show each day and were involved in research and preparation for many segments across the station. The students were also involved in a show about the benefits of Erasmus+. Mark continues to work for the station presenting their “Daybreak Sports” and this is not the first time one of the students became employed by the radio station directly post Erasmus.
Zoe has been a researcher for Ireland's Classic Hits and is working as a 90s DJ.
Mark whilst still a student in the college was made producer of the Sports Show on Sunshine 106.8.
and this came directly through the Radio & Podcasting course, likewise now presenting Talk Radio Europe Daybreak Sports show from Ireland.
Both are currents students and will be in the college till June 2026
We look forward to returning there next year with more students.

Year 1 Concentrates on music radio, presentation and small features and starting to get into radio stations.
Year 2 Documentaries, Talk Radio and getting into media full time.
Entry Requirements 5 Leaving Certificate Passes with No requirements for over 21.
Erasmus+ with opportunities for funded placements in Radio stations across Europe
Guest Speakers from Industry from our extensive list of successful alumni.
Student given to keep Adobe Suite, Portable Recorder, Headphones, Podcast Kit & ACAST account.
Media Degree progression options are available within and outside of the college.
€150 cost of the course with refund of €50 for students in February.
