MIC provides many supports for its postgraduate students, a Research Office that oversees, coordinates and supports institutional research; a Graduate School that provides full academic administration services for all research students; various financial supports, and research mentoring and information sessions,and much more.
Postgraduate Funding, Fees, and Scholarships
MIC offers several financial instruments for the support of postgraduate research students. Students pursuing or intending to pursue postgraduate research degrees in Arts or Education are eligible to apply for MIC awards.
The Research & Graduate School is situated in the state-of-the-art John Henry Newman Campus. The Research and Graduate School assists, facilitates and underwrites high-quality staff and postgraduate research in Mary Immaculate College in line with the ‘College Strategic Plan’.
Dr Ailbhe McDaid, assistant professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at MIC, was awarded €390k by the Irish Research Council (IRC) and Science Foundation Ireland (SFI)
This prestigious funding, under the IRC-SFI Pathways Fellowship, supports early career researchers from all disciplines towards becoming research leaders of the future.
