Smart Building Technology is the term used to describe the automation of building facilities such as lighting, heating and ventilation. The term applies to homes, Offices and Commercial Buildings.

The smart building course is designed to give students the skills and related knowledge to confidently pursue employment in the installation and maintenance of Smart Buildings. This is currently a high growth industry.

During the course the students will develop operational competence in the broad fields of electrical, network, computer and industry standard systems that support the Smart Building sector. The course will also develop the teamwork and leadership skills of the individual.

The course will prepare learners to become more competitive in the employment market or to confidently progress on to further and higher education.
