South East Technological University (SETU) Carlow campus will hold a Work Placement and Graduate Careers Fair on Wednesday, October 1 starting at 10am, located in the Central Services Building (CSB) of the campus.
This inaugural event aims to support students from the disciplines of Business, Computing, Science, and Humanities who have a 6-month work placement built in to year 3 of their course. The companies in attendance will also have graduate opportunities to promote to final year students of these disciplines.
Companies such as Google, IBM, Auto Boland, Danone, Netwatch will join other organisations such as the Teaching Council, the GAA, FAI, the Irish Defense Forces to offer a variety of career paths to SETU students.
The main focus in the organisation of the event has been to attract companies and organisations who offer opportunities in the South East of Ireland. Many have offices located in Kilkenny, Waterford, Kildare, Carlow and are keen to partner with SETU to source well educated and talented students and graduates for their roles.
Building these bridges between education and industry ensures Inspiring Futures for both students and the economy of Ireland.
