Invitation to Participate in my PhD Focus Group

Dear LCCS Teacher

I hope this message finds you well. As part of the final stage of my PhD research at TU Dublin (CSinc), which focuses on supporting LCCS teachers, I am inviting you to express your interest to participate in an important focus group. Your insights via the PD surveys have been invaluable throughout my study, and this focus group will greatly enrich my understanding and support for LCCS educators.

Details of the Focus Group:

  • Date: Thursday, 12th September
  • Time: 7 PM
  • Duration: 1 hour
  • Platform: Microsoft Teams (link will be provided upon confirmation of attendance)

During the focus group, we will discuss semi-structured and open-ended questions pertaining to your experiences and insights of the CSinc PD. If you would like to receive the questions in advance to prepare your thoughts, please let me know, and I will gladly send them to you.

Please rest assured that all data collected during this focus group will be anonymized and untraceable to any individual, ensuring confidentiality and privacy.

Your participation would be immensely valuable and greatly appreciated as it will contribute significantly to the success of this research and potentially enhance the support structures for LCCS teachers.

If you are available to join us and contribute to this final data gathering event, please complete this initial expression of interest form. Further details, ethical approval forms/details and the link to the Teams meeting will be sent following your confirmation.

Thank you for considering this request. I look forward to your participation and to hearing your valuable perspectives.

Kind regards,

Roisin Faherty.
