Your NCAD Portfolio
This is the time of year when we know your inboxes are packed with information so we'll keep it brief this month for you. As we get closer to deadlines, we will send out regular weekly updates to help guide you through the application and portfolio processes!
Steps & Tips
If you're planning to use your holiday break to work on your portfolio or add some new items, we're here to help you along the way!
Things You Will Need to Get Started:
Your portfolio with your best works in one of the accepted digital formats
Your 2026 8-digit CAO Number (for International Applicants, your 2026 Online User ID)
Your account on NCAD's Portfolio Submission Platform

Read the NCAD Undergrad Portfolio Guidelines, tips and important information on this page of our website
Create your application on the CAO for Irish/EU applicants or on our website for International applicants to get your 2026 number you will use for all portfolio submissions
Ensure you have a separate portfolio submission for every programme you plan to apply to for 2026
Attend the Product Design and Interaction Design Portfolio Workshop in January before you submit your portfolios if you are interested in either of these two programmes (see below)
SubmitALL portfolio submissions by 6 February 2026 at 5pm!

Product Design and Interaction Design Portfolio Workshop
10am-3.30pm
Our last Product Design and Interaction Design Portfolio Workshop before the portfolio submission deadline! 10am - 3:30pm
You must sign-up via Eventbrite to attend.
Sunday 1st of February
Application Deadline on the CAO and NCAD website
CLOSES at 5:00pm
Friday 6th of February
NCAD Portfolio Submission Deadline
CLOSES at 5:00pm
