The Lir at Work is our communications training programme using acting techniques for people in the workplace. Check our upcoming communication skills workshops that are open to book on an individual basis, allowing you to enjoy our practical, engaging workshops, training alongside like-minded people from other organisations.
Public Speaking, Fighting The Fear (In-Person) / January 30th / 10.00-17.00 This public speaking course incorporates a range of theoretical, practical and performance modules used to train professional actors. Under the expert guidance of our Voice & Performance coach, you will learn breathing, mindfulness and tension release exercises that will support your confidence.
Presenting Made Brilliant (In-Person) / February 27th / 10.00-17.00 This practical public speaking course will help you transform your presentations at work – by empowering you with the presentation skills necessary to deliver an impactful, confident and engaging performance when you need it the most.
Storytelling for Business (In-Person) / February 21st / 9.20-17.00 Storytelling for Business, is an effective communication skills workshop that will teach you how to use the power of storytelling to connect with, influence and inspire audiences with greater impact than ever before. .

Youth Academy will be returning for a new term in January 2025. This is for both returning and new students who are joining the class for the first time! Each course focuses on the core elements of acting training, with the courses separated into two age categories: 12-14 and 15-17.
Through these adult group master-classes and rehearsals, this intensive immersion in musical theatre will help build confidence, develop new skills and develop existing skills in a collaborative environment.
Learn 4 dances over 8 weeks, suitable for individuals and couples and no experience necessary! Sample the exotic rhythms of Tango one week and find yourself immersed in a crazy Charleston the next.
This online introductory course is ideal for any student looking to improve their screenwriting skills, focusing on the various forms, ideas and craft of screenwriting. Taught by BAFTA winner Dave Evans.
Course Begins: 15th Feb Duration: 10am - 5pm, Weekend
This weekend course will examine some of the multiple forms of puppetry used across theatre and filmed productions. Participants will be introduced to hand, object, rod, tabletop, moving-mouth and Bunraku styles, and to the basic techniques used to animate a puppet.
