Primary schools participating in Term 1 of 'Say Yes to Languages' are about to begin the module! Welcome packs full of resources to help engage pupils and raise awareness, have been sent to schools. Information and training sessions are underway, discussing the teaching resources made available to teachers delivering the module and other practical aspects. For more click here>>
We are delighted to announce that registration is now open for #ThinkLanguages 2023. This year events will be taking place nationwide from 27 November – 1 December 2023. A special Community of Practice has been organised for the Intercultural Look at our Schools (ILAOS) journey. If you are thinking of starting the ILAOS journey, you can learn from those who are already involved, and if you have implemented the ILAOS toolkit, or some aspect of it, you can share your experiences and learn from how other schools have implemented it. Languages Connect are delighted to be attending this year’s Higher Options Exhibition at RDS Main Hall from Wednesday to Friday, 20 - 22 September. Thousands of students from around the country will be attending over the three days. We will be onsite to provide information and insights into the many options for studying foreign languages both at school and third level. Read More>>
In celebration of Culture Night and the European Day of Languages, taster classes in 18 different languages will be held on Friday 22 September at Europe House and online on Tuesday 26 September. Languages Connect have teamed up once again with our partners in the European Commission to offer these 20 minute classes - with something for everyone! Read More>>
