Registration is now open for Leaving Certificate Language Saturday Classes starting this September. Students interested must be sitting their Leaving Certificate in 2026 to be eligible to participate in classes. These classes are funded by the Department of Education and there is no tuition fee for students to attend. Read More>>
The deadline for facilitators to apply for funding to host a heritage or lesser-taught language Summer Camp is this Wednesday 10th April. The two-week camps are for post-primary students attending school in Ireland and allow heritage language speakers to immerse themselves in their culture while allowing beginners to discover a new language. Term 3 of Say Yes to Languages is set to begin on Monday 15th April with approximately 400 schools taking part in the module this term. Welcome packs, including pupil resources, bunting and posters, are currently being distributed to all participating schools. Read more>>

Are you a post-primary MFL teacher qualified in a language you are not currently teaching? Do you want to increase or diversify language capacity in your school? The Minister for Education Norma Foley TD recently published the Languages ConnectInterim Review Report and Implementation Plan to 2026.
