ATU continues to expand and update it’s programme offering in line with student and industry needs. Below you’ll read about some of our latest updates. We’re excited to share our latest courses with you! These new courses are part of our expanding offering, giving you more choice than ever.
ATU is now offering a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) programme at ATU’s Sligo campus. The programme CAO code is AU975. ATU offers 32 places through the CAO on this 5-year programme. At the end of the programme, graduates will be entitled to register to practise as a pharmacist in Ireland in clinical settings supporting the health service and also in industry. The programme has successfully completed the accreditation process with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).

ATU is now offering a 4-year, level 8 honours degree programme in Physiotherapy based at ATU’s Donegal Letterkenny campus. There are 20 places on this programme which will develop learners to become well-rounded, autonomous practitioners with the knowledge required to underpin the current demands of the profession capable of managing change, supporting their profession and patients, and developing professionally as physiotherapists.

The Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVMS) at ATU is designed to produce highly skilled, confident, and well-rounded veterinary graduates equipped to work effectively in Irish veterinary practice where they will play an essential role in safeguarding animal health, public health, and safeguarding Ireland’s food-producing economy.
ATU immerses students early in real-world veterinary settings, working with healthy animals across a diverse range of species before progressing into complex disease diagnosis and management.

Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Special and Inclusive Education. The aim of this course is to provide students with the professional knowledge, skills and competencies to effectively support people with Special Educational Needs, disabilities or learning differences across a diverse range of settings. Students will be supported in gaining a thorough depth of knowledge and understanding of Special Educational Needs through engagement with national and international research, policy and legislation related to inclusive practice.
This programme aims to enhance professional practice as well as open up study and career progression opportunities for students.
