New Courses - National Tertiary Office

Please find below new courses that were added to the list of courses for 2026. There are currently 42 tertiary degree courses published on our website including the below. The nursing degrees in TCD were launched on 29th January and are not yet published on our website. More news on the launch can be found here.

 

BSc (Hons) in General Nursing

This is a unique access route into BSc Hons in General Nursing with Atlantic Technological University across three ETB campuses in the West, North West region aimed at widening participation to communities and individuals who would not traditionally consider third-level education as option.

This course is designed to give applicants the academic skills and competence to succeed at undergraduate level, the confidence to progress into a professional programme and the opportunity to undertake a rewarding career in nursing.

BSc (Hons) Computing with AI

BSc (Hons) in Mental Health Nursing

This programme is five years in duration. Year one of the programme will be offered in the College of FET, Ennis Campus, Clonroad with students who successfully complete that year being awarded an NFQ Level 5 QQI Major Award in Nursing Studies 5M4349.

Students will then progress to TUS Athlone where they will start in year one of a four-year degree programme leading to a BSc (Hons) in Mental Health Nursing.

BSc (Hons) in Mental Health Nursing

This programme is five years in duration. Year one of the programme will be offered in LOETB Tullamore FET Centre, with students who successfully complete that year being awarded an NFQ Level 5 QQI Major Award in Nursing Studies 5M4349.

Students will then progress to TUS Athlone where they will start in year one of a four-year degree programme leading to a BSc (Hons) in Mental Health Nursing.
