New Course - Pre-Emergency Services StudiesKillester College of Further Education

The purpose of this award is to enable the learner to develop the knowledge, skills and competencies required to undertake a career in the primary emergency services such as An Garda Siochana, Ambulance or Fire Services. Students wishing to access careers in these emergency services should register for updates with Publicjobs.ie. Students are responsible for checking eligibility requirements.

There are also employment opportunities available to students with private ambulance and event medical providers. Students may also progress to participating Higher Education Institutions (HEI’s) through the QQI Higher Education Links Scheme. Students may progress to The National Qualification in Emergency Medical Technology (NQEMT-EMT) offered by DX2 Training Solutions and/or BSc (Hons) Paramedic Practice offered by ORMS & Robert Gordon University Aberdeen. Possibility of entering Paramedic degrees in UL. & UK subject to entry requirements
