Maynooth University Engineering – featuring during Science Week on RTÉ

It’s Science Week so join Maynooth University’s Professor Gerard Lacey and some of our Engineering students for episode one of RTÉ 1’s Futureville Ireland on Tuesday November 12^th.

As Professor of Electronic Engineering at Maynooth University, Gerry works on robotics and human-machine systems, focusing on real-time computer vision with applications in healthcare.

"A vision of a new Irish city for 2050, imagining what this future version of Athlone would it look like and what daily life would be like for the residents. Carla O'Brien and Lorraine Mancey begin by highlighting the newest technologies that could enable this metropolis of 250,000 people to become a reality, focusing on housing and sustainable urban design."
