Dear Friends,

Time to dust off the school bag, tune up your instrument and make some noise for the new school year!  

It’s been a whirlwind summer for Music Generation young musicians, performing across Ireland and beyond.

Across the globe, Music Generation Clare brought their trad ensemble all the way to Missouri, USA, performing at St. Louis Irish Arts. Music Generation Waterford travelled to the International Celtic Harp Festival 2025 in Italy. 

Closer to home, Music Generation Kerry bands rocked the stage at Feile Thrá Lí and Music Generation Kildare lit up the main stage at Taste of Kildare. 

Now, local Music Generation areas are preparing to return to hubs, youth centres, libraries and schools! If you'd like to get involved, contact details for each Music Generation area across Ireland are available on our website here.   

We asked some of our young musicians for their words of wisdom for anyone heading back to hubs, joining a band or trying out a new ensemble. Hear their advice here or scroll down to watch our featured video. 

And finally, we want to wish everyone the very best as they return to the classroom, hubs, and music sessions. Here’s to a year full of learning, creativity and of course - lots of music!
