​Geological Survey Ireland Lecture: Geoscience Solutions for the Climate Crisis

Geological Survey Ireland is pleased to be partnering with The Royal Irish Academy to present a series of annual geoscience lectures.

The aim of the lecture series is to raise awareness of geosciences and their relevance to society's needs and challenges. We are delighted to announce that Chris Jackson will deliver the inaugural Geological Survey Ireland lecture on the theme, 'Geoscience Solutions for the Climate Crisis.' The lecture will explore how geoscience can support the development of low-carbon energy resources and the important role that geostorage will play in the transition to sustainable energy. The lecture will be followed by a panel discussion with Ireland-based geologists to bring an Irish perspective to the topic.
