Former Moate Business College student wins an Emmy

A Westmeath man and former Moate Business College student has won an Emmy.

Johnny Murphy, who is from Ballinagore and colleagues received the award for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for their work on the HBO series, The Last of Us.

They received the award at the Creative Arts Emmys ceremony at the Peacock Arts Theatre in Los Angeles.

After finishing secondary school in Kilbeggan, Johnny (35) did a portfolio course in Moate Business College for a year, before studying model making in Dun Laoghaire Institute Of Art Design + Technology.
