FIT’s Female in Tech Expo 2024 – highlights!

The annual FIT Females in Tech Expo took place on the 20^th of November 2024, in the Green Isle Hotel, Dublin. This unique event showcased the vast opportunities available to women in technology, by bringing together leading companies, industry experts, inspiring female role models and female students from around Ireland.

Empowering Female Students

The event brought over 1,000 students, from over 30 DEIS, Youthreach and Colleges around Ireland. Students got the opportunity to speak to top tech companies, learn about FIT’s pre-tech, choose tech, apprenticeship programmes and traineeship opportunities, and take part in interactive demos throughout the day.

Another highlight for students was the VR Headsets, Robotic Cars, and Spin the Wheel, where students could win some fantastic merch and prizes! Students also got the opportunity to take part in a competition on the day to win a laptop to help with their upcoming studies!

Leading Companies

There were over 30 exhibitors on the day, from a variety of industries and organisations who helped to make the event such an incredible success. Each exhibitor offered a unique learning experience for the students, demonstrating the various career opportunities for females inspiring to work within the tech sector.

It was fantastic to see each of the female students, teachers and guidance counsellors engaged in all of the offerings throughout the event.
