FIT at World Skills

If you attended World Skills Ireland 2024 then you will have found the FIT (Fastrack into Information Technology) stand nestled within the “This is FET” Zone.

Across the three days, thousands of students visited the FIT stand to learn about the various pathways into an exciting world of tech, through Pre-Tech Apprenticeships, Tech Apprenticeships and the Choose Tech Schools Programmes.

Students got to test out the FIT Virtual Reality (VR) headsets to discover how AI really works, and test out their problem-solving skills with the FIT Cypher Crack the Code Challenge, both of which were a huge success among the students and teachers on the day! For those who cracked the code on any of the three days won some fantastic FIT merch to take home with them!

FIT Tech Apprentices and Apprentice of the Year Nominees, Amy Knight and Nikola Morta both got the opportunity to speak at the Heroes Stage on the day about their fantastic experiences during the Tech Apprentice programmes.
