Dates for your diary - Open Days - Fri 28th/Sat 29th November

Preparations have begun for our Open Days in November. We are looking forward to welcoming you to the campus on 28th/29th November for lots of activity including 70+ subject talks each day, campus tours and an opportunity to speak to students and lecturers.

New Sport Science Centre - sod turned by Minister Lawless

Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, James Lawless TD has turned the sod on Maynooth University’s €19 million Sport Science Centre. The state-of-the-art facility, designed to promote health and wellbeing on campus as well as teaching and research, is scheduled to open in January 2027.

Maynooth University extends warm congratulations to BSc Product Design and Innovation graduate Zoë O’Sullivan, who has been named National Winner for Ireland at this year's prestigious James Dyson Award for her invention Lymphia.

MU study shows climate change turned the Irish summer into a record breaker

Human-caused climate change made the warm days experienced this summer nine times more likely, and the warm nights 40 times more likely, according to a new study from climatologists at ICARUS, Maynooth University's climate research centre, and Met Éireann.
