Engineers Ireland returns to the National Ploughing Championships 2025.

Our theme, #EngineeringTheFuture, aims to inspire young people to consider a career in engineering by making it approachable and exciting through attractions that showcase various engineering disciplines. Last year, we had over 20,000 people visit our marquee, and we hope to welcome even more visitors this year. Join us in Screggan, Tuesday 16 to Thursday 18 September.

Here's what to expect in 2025:

• Formula 1 race car: Take a virtual spin in a state-of-the-art F1 simulator

• Virtual reality welding: Try your luck at welding the perfect seam!

• Space Store: Enjoy a virtual reality space experience, try on a replica spacesuit worn by Tim Peake during his ISS launch, or complete our satellite treasure hunt

• An artificial heart and spine: See how stents work and get to grips with discs!

• STEPS: Meet the STEPS team and hear about their outreach activities

• Collaborative robots: Can you beat the robot in a game of noughts and crosses?

• Plus! There will be competitions, prizes and lots of giveaways!
