We are all aware that Computer Science (CS) and Information Community Skills (ICT) are essentials to our students. These skills aid our student’s with real-world skills that will be required at each level as they progress through their educational journey and onto employment. Computing at Schools provides training and resources to aid schools to deliver these elements in the correct manner.
It is the responsibility of the Post-Primary educational sector to prepare students for the further education or directly to employment. Present feedback from third level educational institutions shows that only 1% of our student enter CS and 2/3rds of these students drop out in year one due to lack of exposure to CS & ICT.
