Code Club - Mid Summer Updates

A mid-year thank you

We're halfway through the year, and for many Code Clubs that means the end of a busy term or season. To all the mentors whose clubs are taking a break, thank you for your time, energy, and dedication to inspiring young people through creative computing. We hope you enjoy a well-earned rest.

For clubs continuing to meet over the coming months, we've gathered activities, resources, and support to keep your sessions engaging and fun. And don't forget to join our July Coffee and Conversation to connect with fellow mentors, share ideas, celebrate successes, and get support from the Code Club community.

Project of the month: Kit chooser

Design your dream football kit in Scratch with our ‘Kit chooser’ project!

Creators will experiment with colours, patterns, and custom styles while learning about sprites, variables, loops, and conditionals.

Creativity, confidence, and inclusion in Tunisia

From celebrating debugging wins to showcasing projects at Coolest Projects Tunisia, their approach is helping young people grow in confidence, creativity, and problem-solving.

Social networking, Code Club style!

In The Low-Tech Social Network activity, young people discover what they have in common — from favourite school subjects to favourite coding languages. It's a simple unplugged activity that helps break the ice, build connections, and spark conversations.
