The BSc in Spatial Planning and Environmental Management (TU835) at TU Dublin is an opportunity to obtain an excellent degree in either of two highly relevant fields. Both spatial planning and environmental management are vital careers towards building a sustainable future for Ireland and the planet.
Climate Change, the environment and sustainability are central to everything that takes place at TU Dublin Environment & Planning. This degree programme gives young people the skills to manage, protect and develop a sustainable environment for the future.
TU Dublin Environment & Planning are very proud of their graduates, with whom they maintain strong connections.
Environmental Management graduates are working with environmental agencies such as an Taisce, Friends of the Earth, Environmental Protection Agency, Greenpeace, Marine Institute, etc.
Spatial Planning graduates are working in planning and regeneration agencies, local authorities, development organisations and in private practice consultancy across Ireland and internationally.
Globally, graduates from both sides of the programme are working with agencies such as UN Habitat, Transport for London, NZ Transport, ENTSOE-E European Energy Grid, international research centres, among others.
Skills shortages are also affecting housing and infrastructure supply. Recent estimates put the construction sector skills shortage at 40,000 workers, and growing. The climate change crisis, fast becoming an emergency, requires talented graduates in these areas now more than ever.
