COUNTRY QUESTIONNAIRE ON SYMPOSIUM THEMES AND POLICY AND SYSTEMS BACKGROUND
10TH INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON CAREER DEVELOPMENT AND PUBLIC POLICY 2026
NAVIGATING NEW HORIZONS
In November 2026, the 10th International Symposium on Career Development and Public Policy will take place in Auckland, New Zealand organised by ICCDPP and CATE with the support of the Inter Agency Group on career guidance (OECD, ILO, UNESCO, WB, EC, ETF, CEDEFOP) and the Tertiary Education Commission (NZ).
In advance of the symposium, ICCDPP is inviting all countries (including those that will be able to attend in person and those unable to attend in person) to complete a short survey setting out your countries’ perspectives on policies and systems for career development, addressing the following critical policy issues that will be discussed at the symposium:
1. High productivity and the inclusive economy. This will explore how policies and systems for career development can support economic growth, decent work and the development of entrepreneurialism.
2. Enhancing skills and developing technical and vocational education. This will explore how policies and systems for career development services interact with and support policies for skills, lifelong learning, and technical and vocational education.
3. Ensuring disadvantaged groups can thrive. This includes looking at how policies and systems for career development services can best support indigenous groups, racial minorities, and social groups that are under-represented in the labour market.
The data collected will provide a unique international evidence base for the discussions that will take place at the symposium and for subsequent discussions and relevant actions post-symposium.
ICCDPP invites the submission of a single national response for each country. Normally this will involve stakeholder consultation (e.g. relevant government ministries/agencies, social partners, civil society, national associations of career guidance practitioners, researchers) to formulate a country response.
The questionnaire can be accessed at the following link: Click here ...
The data that you submit will be published on the ICCDPP website both as a dataset of country responses and within synthesis reports.
The closing date for receipt of country responses is by preference 30 JUNE 2026.
