Research into AI Concepts and Skills

We are conducting research at the University of Cambridge - Raspberry Pi Computing Education Research Centre into AI Concepts and Skills that would be useful and accessible for learners at the 14-19 level.

As part of this we are conducting an interview study, including:

Based in UK and Ireland:

  • Undergraduate students (preferably year 1) who studied computer science at school
  • 16-19 year old students currently studying computing/computer science as part of any qualification
  • School Teachers who teach computing/computer science at the 14-19 level
  • AI 'experts' who teach AI in higher education

Students and teachers would receive a £20 Waterstone voucher for their participation. We are also interviewing a smaller number of participants who represent different perspectives, for example from industry or different disciplines that include aspects of AI. This group may include those outside the UK and Ireland.

How can you help?

If you'd like to support this research and are in any of the categories mentioned, and/or if you could pass this request on to your students, we would be most grateful.

You can read further details with links to sign up on this webpage. For the 'experts', emailing me directly would be perfect. A direct link to the forms can be found here: students and teachers
