Transport & Logistics Event in Rosslare Port Sat 5th April
Transport & Logistics employs approx. 9,000 persons in the South East and is vital to the economic wellbeing of the region. As part of ‘Logistics & Supply Chain Week’ CILT is hosting a Mobility & Supply Chain Knowledge Day on Saturday 5th April in Rosslare Europort with excellent industry speakers and insights into the sector. SERSF Launches Management Skills Report
SERSF study highlights strong demand for management skills needs across multiple sectors and company sizes in the South East. It revealed that many businesses were not familiar with the availability of management skills education and training. Full report here.
 
South East Regional Employment Profile

At 3.5%, employment growth in the South East in the year to Q2 2024 was above the national average and the third highest across all regions. Also one of only three regions to experience a decline in the numbers employed in elementary occupations. However, the region had the highest unemployment rate across all regions, and at 7% in Q2 2024, well above the national average of 4.6% (LFS). See full profile here.
