The Roisin Kelleher Career Interest Assessment is designed to assist students in selecting senior cycle subjects, courses and careers. It helps reduce the workload of guidance counsellors by allowing students to identify their key areas of interest and begin researching subject choices, course levels, and careers. The assessment is up-to-date, reflecting current senior cycle subjects, job titles and careers. It is quick, reliable, and effective.
Key aspects of the Interest Assessment include consideration of the following:
Work Values and Motivation, QQI levels, Links to Education and Training courses, Labour Market Information, CV and Cover Letter templates, Student Grant information and Counselling Services. Results are provided over eight major areas: Business, Creative, Information Technology, Outdoor, Practical, Social, Science and Apprenticeships. Each area includes a Learn More section offering long-term access to essential career and educational information, along with hyperlinks to detailed subject and career descriptions.
The assessment cost is €20 per person. For Schools and FET colleges, there is an annual School Plan available for a reduced fee of €300, which provides unlimited access to the assessment. Additionally, there may be digital grant support available, as referenced in the Department of Education Circular No. 0039/2024.
