The World Needs You: Solving global challenges with STEM

According to figures from the Central Statistics Office, maintaining Ireland’s position as a leading global hub for tech, pharma, medtech, engineering and bioscience industries, will require at least 20% of the state’s 964,000 primary and secondary students to study science, technology, engineering or maths at third level.

To help meet this challenge, STEM South West will be returning for its sixth year at Cork City Hall on Wednesday 20 November to promote studying and choosing a career in the sciences and technology.

The theme of this year’s Expo is The World Needs You: Solving global challenges with STEM. The event will showcase how STEM addresses real-world problems that impact climate change, healthcare, robotics, AI and medtech.
