Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) has long been the Science Industry’s go to for highly skilled graduates and the Institute is delighted to report that a recent survey has shown that 92% of DkIT Level 8 Science graduates are in full time employment or further study within 6 months of graduating.

The Institute’s recent investment in a new state of the art science building, has increased their capacity on Life Science, Health Science and Agri-Food programmes, helping DkIT to meet the growing demand from employers in the region for high-quality graduates in these specialised areas.

DkIT opened the doors of its new Jocelyn Bell Burnell Science building last year, this facility will supply much of the needed industry standard graduates as the commercial value of biotherapeutic medicines is forecasted to grow exponentially in the next few years. The success of the Irish biopharma industry is internationally recognised, and the Institute’s new science building offers a state-of-the-art Cell Culture facility which provides DkIT students enrolled in their Science programmes with the most up-to-date skills, training, research, and innovation opportunities for the manufacture of biotherapeutics.
DkIT graduates have always been much sought after and are renowned for actively contributing to advancements in the areas of pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and environmental science. The Institute is also currently involved in several exciting and award-winning science research projects both nationally and internationally that are changing the world we live in for the better.
