Women and Craft in Irish Film @ Galway Film Fleadh 2024
CFA is delighted to support this year’s Galway Film Fleadh which launched its 2024 festival programme this week. As part of the festival events, CFA@IADT will host a panel of women film practitioners from the craft areas of Irish cinema - costume design, cinematography, editing and post-production - to tell their stories and share their experiences on Saturday 13th July at The Galmont Hotel from 2pm to 3.30pm.
Panelists include Tríona Lillis (Costume Designer), Aisling Wallace Byrne (Costume Designer), Eleanor Bowman (Cinematographer), Michelle Connolly (Editor), Aine Moriarty (IFTA) and will be chaired by Dr. Díóg O’Connell, Lecturer, IADT in Film & Media Studies. All are welcome to attend!
Recent graduates and artists in the fields of visual art, theatre, architecture and urban design are invited apply for Art and the City a once off programme curated and led by artist Michelle Browne to consider the role of art in the city.
A selected group of 12 participants will explore an archive of temporary site specific works made in and for Dublin city over the past 30 years to question how we understand the city, how the city shapes our lives and how we shape the city.

Our fifth session of Creative Boardroom: Collaborate4Climate CO-DESIGN took place in Northern Ireland on Tuesday 25th June at the offices of Invest NI in central Belfast.
In this session, the Chartered Directors focused on all the knowledge and skills they have gained these past few months and discussed how best to enact them at a boardroom level.
