Following the successful launch of the first 3D Concrete Printing course in the country, Louth Meath Education and Training Board will run the next course commencing on the 6th of September in theAdvanced Manufacturing Training Centre of Excellence (AMTCE).

What are micro-credentials? Micro-credentials are short bursts of learning that facilitate a ‘bite size’ approach to professional development and lifelong learning. With a part-time and flexible course structure, micro-credentials work around learners’ commitments and schedules. Screen Skills to Green Skills
Wicklow County Council hosted a ‘Screen Skills to Green Skills’ event in County Buildings on 24th of June.
The aim was to create an opportunity for professionals and stakeholders to help facilitate the development and delivery of training and education to meet the skills needs of County Wicklow into the future.
The theme for the event was ‘Screen Skills to Green Skills’ and the focus was on film, food, and renewables as key drivers of economic development in the county.
The keynote speaker was Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, Minister Simon Harris TD, with other speakers representing the film, food, and renewable energy industries. See full WicklowNews.net report here

Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail, Damien English, TD, has turned the sod at the Boyne Valley Food Hub, a flagship project of the Boyne Valley Food Innovation District. The project will transform almost 800 m² of enterprise space at its Navan site into an innovative food hub with nine Food Grade units available for start-up and scaling food businesses. It will also deliver a timeshare development kitchen and food R&D lab, sensory testing facilities, a food specific co-working hub and a knowledge lab to create higher levels of connectivity, collaboration and innovation in the food and drink sector.
