Working Papers on Labour, Education, and Technology

The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to European Union policy. It has published a series of working papers on the links between labour, education, and technology in the past few years that are relevant to the deliberations of the International Symposia on Career Development and Public Policy (2017, 2019). The papers include:

• How to quantify what is not seen? Two proposals for measuring platform work
• The impact of Technological innovation on the Future of Work: Key challenges for the European Welfare States
• The Digitalisation of Future Work and Employment. Possible impact and policy responses
• Education as self-fulfillment and self-satisfaction

That's a lot of research and reading so make the best of it using book club or book circle techniques with policy, professional, research and training colleagues, students, employers and trade unions!
