Lifelong Guidance Network Event

The event’s theme was ‘Empowerment through effective lifelong guidance: navigating
transitions and reflecting on pathways’. This theme was eminent and manifested itself
throughout the day’s proceedings. Perhaps most notably by ‘real-life stories’ speakers who
shared their varied experiences with lifelong guidance and how those experiences have
affected them in positive ways.

National Strategic Framework for Lifelong Guidance: Strategic Action Plan (2024-2030)

A clear message emerging from this consultation, and a subsequent action within the
framework, therefore, was that of work placements and work-experience opportunities which are a central aspect of lifelong guidance provision. Through the national consultation,
stakeholders noted that the extent to which these experiences are accessed, actualised and maximised, can vary dramatically.
