Upcoming FIT Tech courses and Apprenticeship Programmes
FIT are welcoming applicants for their upcoming Technology and Apprenticeship Programme intakes for 2024. The following details relate to FIT’s Tech Apprenticeship Programmes:
- 15th July: Computer Networking Apprenticeship Programme, Dublin. This two year Apprenticeship Programme at QQI Level 6, covers the following subject areas: network configuration, cloud, network administration, security and performance management
- September: Software Development Apprenticeship Programme, Dublin and Galway. This two year Apprenticeship Programme at QQI Level 6, equips the learner with foundational knowledge of building, testing and modifying high quality code, allowing progression into project management, planning and research, systems design, IT architecture and business systems analysis.
- October: Cybersecurity Apprenticeship Programme, Dundalk and Dublin. This two year Apprenticeship Programme at QQI Level 6, supports the learner and provides foundational knowledge in theory and practical skills required to be employed as Cybersecurity specialists.
- November- Computer Networking Apprenticeship Programme and Software Development Apprenticeship Programmes - Dublin.
- Other Apprenticeship and Technology Programmes are being prepared to be delivered in Galway and Dublin, in October and November, which will run in synchronicity.
Other FIT Technology Courses accepting applications currently include:
- 21st October: QQI Level 4 Introduction to Manufacturing Processes, Ballina Training Centre, Mayo. This is a full time, 39 week course, starting on the 21st October 2024, will cover subject areas such Electronics, Functional Maths, Workplace Safety and Continuous Improvement in Manufacturing. - 18th November: QQI Level 6 Manufacturing Technician Traineeship. This 46 week full time course, starting on the 18th November, in the Ballina Training Centre, Mayo, positions candidates to pursue challenging and rewarding careers in the role of manufacturing process support, in a variety of industry settings. Such roles encompass electronic, electrical, mechanical, PLCs (programmable logic controllers) with computational skills, all of which must be executed in the context of safe working practices. The traineeship also includes 12 weeks of work experience - learners are supported to seek sponsorship for this element and use this opportunity to seek gainful employment in the manufacturing sector.
