From fossils of the distant past, to far-flung galaxies and the power of regeneration, University College Cork (UCC) will host activities for all ages and interests this Science Week.
The annual nationwide celebration of science runs from this Sunday, November 10 for seven days, and will feature events for the young and not-so-young across Ireland.
An annual participant in Science Week, UCC will again host events on campus and around Cork City, including a Distant Galaxies Poetry Workshop, Fossil Expo, family Science Day at the Marina Market, and lots more.
Acknowledging that the decisions we make today will greatly impact future generations, this year’s theme is “Harnessing the Power of Regeneration”, highlighting the importance of taking learnings from the past to inform our decisions for the future.
