The GetAHEAD programme at AHEAD are providing a free virtual workshop on the topic of enhancing your campus experience and gaining invaluable employability skills.

When: Wednesday 21st of August 2024 from 12pm - 1pm

Are you a college student looking to enhance your college experience and build invaluable skills for your future? Join our upcoming workshop to hear from Caoimhe Cronin, Student Engagement Officer and Alice Hartigan, WAM Project Officer about their experiences working in a Student Union and as class representatives and how the skills they developed contributed to their own employment journeys. In this workshop, you will discover how to:

Get actively involved in your Student Union: Learn how participating in student unions can build your communication skills and help you advocate for yourself and others.

Manage clubs and societies: Gain leadership and organisational skills by managing and participating in various clubs and socs.

Act as class representative: Develop strong communication and negotiation skills while representing your peers.

Build essential soft skills: From teamwork and problem solving to time management and public speaking, learn how you can use these experiences to equip yourself with skills that will benefit you in your future employment journey.
