The University of Limerick Regional Writing Centre (RWC, UL) wishes to announce the launch of its 12th annual National Secondary School Essay-writing Competition for Transition and 5th year students. Each year, the RWC, UL asks TY- and 5th-year students from across Ireland to take a stance on a controversial social issue. There are prizes for the best-written arguments, with the top essay in each category receiving a high-spec android tablet and the two runners up in each category winning One4All vouchers worth €100.
