New Cyber Security Apprenticeship
University of Limerick Programme will Increase ICT Talent Pool

Minister Niall Collins TD launched a new Level 8 Cyber Security apprenticeship which will help address a growing skills need. The programme is being developed in partnership with Limerick for IT industry network and the Mid-West Regional Skills Forum to develop a diverse pool of ICT talent.
Upskilling The Mid-West
Funded & Subsidised Training Programmes at Further & Higher Education

Government funded flexible upskilling courses designed in partnership with industry to meet new and emerging skill needs. Programmes such as the 'Leadership in Digitisation of Manufacturing' Springboard+ course which is 90% funded and delivered online with Limerick Institute of Technology. There are a range of flexible blended upskilling programmes across business sectors including Hospitality, Construction, Logistics and ICT available from Tipperary Education & Training Board for those looking to return to work or upskill. The complete list can be accessed here

Limerick Youth Service Training Centre
Building Talent Pool for Employment Opportunities

Limerick Youth Service Community Training Centre delivers a range of courses at QQI Level 3 and 4. Work placement is a core part of training to prepare learners for employment in areas such as hospitality and construction. Funded Modular Upskilling Courses
Short Accredited Programmes between 5-10 Weeks Duration

Short accredited courses allow for rapid and targeted upskilling across a variety of areas from Leadership, Management, ICT, Supply Chain & Business Communications. University of Limerick offer a range of funded micro-credential courses under the Government July Stimulus initiative. Modules commence in Sept and Oct 2021 and can be accessed here
