Minister Lawless launches tertiary degree courses for the 2025/2026 academic year

Close to 40 tertiary degree courses launched taking on students from this September, including new courses in critical healthcare areas such as Occupational Therapy, Social Care and Nursing. The courses are available all over the country, with learners beginning their studies in Further Education & Training (FET) colleges before progressing to Higher Education Institutions and graduating with a bachelor’s degree.

Minister Lawless obtains Government approval to amend National Training Fund Act, unlocking funding package of €1.5 billion

Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science James Lawless TD obtained Government approval to prepare a General Scheme of a Bill to amend the National Training Fund (NTF) Act, unlocking a funding package of €1.485 billion for the tertiary education sector over a six-year period from 2025 to 2030.
