Secondary Schools’ Programme – HEADSTRONG.

Registration is now open for our evidence-based secondary school programme, HEADSTRONG, for the 2025/2026 school year.  Our programme offers flexible delivery options to suit your school’s needs:

1. Peer-Led Model
Led by a HEADSTRONG Link Teacher, a team of students, known as the Student HEADSTRONG Committee, will organise and lead five awareness campaigns based on the HEADSTRONG Programme. These campaigns are delivered peer-to-peer to engage and educate the wider school community.

To prepare, participating schools will be invited to attend one of our HEADSTRONG Summits in September. These one-day training events are designed to equip both Link Teachers and Student Committees with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to run our HEADSTRONG programme effectively in their school.

Summits will take place in September in the following locations:

  • Dublin
  • Belfast
  • Donegal
  • Cork
  • Galway
  • Athlone
  • Waterford

2. Teacher-Led Model
Teachers can also deliver the HEADSTRONG Programme directly through classroom-based lessons, using our ready-to-go materials such as information sheets and online quizzes. All resources, including lesson plans and self-directed learning modules, are available on our e-learning platform.

3. Hybrid Model
Schools/teachers may also choose a blended approach that combines elements of both the peer-led and teacher-led models.

Topics covered under our HEADSTRONG Programme fall under two categories; ‘Looking After Yourself’ and ‘Mental Health’: https://cas-elearning.com/headstrong/headstrong-modules/
