At our National Student Engagement Network event on 1st December, the NStEP partners in USI, QQI, and the HEA helped us to launch a fantastic new case study hub, made up of innovative practices submitted by students and staff.
In February 2022, NStEP launched a call for case studies of student engagement and partnership. This work forms a key part of our strategy to promote and amplify good practices that students and staff alike can learn from to support their own partnership efforts. In total, 19 case studies from 46 authors and contributors, across 11 higher education institutions cover four categories of activity:
student-staff partnerships in action
student engagement in teaching and learning enhancement
student partnership approaches to assessment
developing student-led peer support
The team at NStEP would like to sincerely thank and congratulate the case study authors for their submissions and for their work to embed student engagement and partnership in to practice across the higher education sector. Please help us to share their great work!
Thanks to all the speakers, chairpersons, contributors and attendees for making the National Student Engagement Network on 1st December such a successful day. The focus of the event was on embedding student engagement in policy and practice in Ireland, building on success to date and tackling new challenges with real resolve for the benefit of students and staff. It was a lively day of debate and discussion that we hope to build on. A special word of thanks to the team at Maynooth University and Maynooth Students' Union for their support in organising the day.
A post-Network report will be realised in due course.
