National Survey of Apprentice Employers

SOLAS has published the findings of the 2025 National Survey of Apprentice Employers, providing valuable insights into employer experiences, perceptions and engagement with apprenticeship across Ireland.

The findings demonstrate continued confidence in apprenticeship as a highly effective way for employers to attract and develop talent, address skills needs and support the long-term sustainability of their workforce. Employer sentiment remains strongly positive, with most respondents indicating that they expect their apprenticeship activity to remain stable or increase in the coming years.

The survey also highlights a number of practical challenges that can impact participation, particularly for smaller employers. These findings will help inform future developments and supports across the apprenticeship system to ensure apprenticeship continues to meet the needs of employers, apprentices and the wider economy.
