National Maritime College of Ireland Open Day

National Maritime College of Ireland (NMCI)  are holding an Open Day on Thursday, 7th November 2024 from 10:00 to 15:30 where you can learn more about NMCI programmes leading to careers in the maritime industry. You will be able to meet our students and staff, take a tour of the NMCI state-of-the-art training facilities and visit maritime careers exhibition representing international shipping companies and maritime organisations.  Many of these shipping companies and maritime organisations offer sponsorship and employment opportunities to students undertaking our courses.

We recommend advance registration to facilitate your school tour. Please note that students can also attend individually with a parent/guardian.

Today, Ireland is experiencing a very positive and transformational change in our relationship with the sea. Over the coming decades, Ireland will become a key provider of clean offshore renewable energy to Europe and our maritime transport and security activities will continue to evolve because of the energy transition and geopolitics including Brexit. Never before have there been so many maritime professional opportunities in Ireland open to young adults. Many of those maritime careers start with a professional seafaring qualification and degree from NMCI.
