Latest News from NCCA

A Chairde,

We’re delighted to bring you this school year’s first issue of info@ncca.

Scroll down for details of resources to support your classroom planning and teaching. You’ll find support materials linked to the Primary Mathematics Curriculum, and the revised arrangements for Classroom-Based Assessments for students currently in 2nd and 3rd year.

If you’ve been following the Children’s School Lives study, you’ll be interested in the latest report which examines the impact of inequality on children’s primary education and future trajectories. This is the first of three reports on the theme of ‘equalities’.

Thank you to everyone who took time earlier this year to share feedback on the draft primary curriculum specifications. This will help us make the curriculum even better for primary and special schools.
As part of the redevelopment of senior cycle, we’ve published a number of Leaving Certificate subjects and Senior Cycle Programmes. These include two new subjects and Level 1 and Level 2 Learning Programmes. Scroll down for information on all of these.

Finally, as part of our now regular staff spotlight, two more colleagues share insights into their careers and work in NCCA.

Thank you for your continued interest in our work. We hope you have a great midterm break.
