Horticulture Apprenticeships


Teagasc Horticulture Apprenticeships Information for students who would like to explore the new apprenticeship in Horticulture which was recently launched by Minister Simon Harris.

The apprenticeships are run in collaboration with SOLAS & GenerationApprenticeship, with educational training provided by Teagasc.

Please note: An apprentice must be currently employed by an approved employer in order to be eligible. SOLAS approved employers should be listed on

However, if you are currently in full-time employment with an employer who is un-registered and believe they could be interested in joining the programme, it is recommended to approach them with information on the programme to assess if they are both willing to participate & nominate you as an apprentice.

If you are not currently in full-time employment, we recommend putting together a strong cv & cover letter and either approach approved employers listed through the aforementioned website or approach potential employers in a similar manner to assess their interest.
