Guide to Google meet for Teachers

To help in the efforts to facilitate remote learning during school closure,  Google Meet is providing free access to its premium features such as larger meetings, live streaming and meeting recording. The offer is valid till September 2020.  For those of you who are not already familiar with Google Meet, this is basically a video conferencing service provided by Google and is included in G Suite and G Suite for Education, meaning, you can easily join meetings 'from a Calendar event or email invite'.

Google Meet allows you to organise virtual group meetings of up to 250 participants with the ability to livestream to up to 100,000 individuals and record your meetings. The process to set up a meeting is simple and easy, head over to Google Meet on the  web or App (Android or iOS)  and click on 'join or start a meeting' (you need to be signed in to your G Suite account to access it).
