Web Information Processing - Many computer applications, such as used for online shopping, banking and social media (Facebook, Twitter) are designed to run over the world-wide-web between the user's computer (or tablet or smart phone) and a central computer owned by a company or organisation.
These applications usually store data about products, information and services which the user can choose to use and/or buy and consist of methods to store the data and programs to process it running on both the organisation's and user's computers, the latter usually within a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Chrome or Netscape. They are written using a combination of languages such as HTML, Javascript, PHP, ASP and SQL.
