Institute of Technology Sligo have just launched an innovative new Work-Based Degree in Mechatronic Systems Engineering, that can be taken from anywhere in Ireland, where you will spend a full three years in a manufacturing/engineering work-place near you, earning as you learn, and taking your classes online. Mechatronic Systems are a combination of Mechanical, Electronic and Software Engineering and these Engineers, who build the automated systems that drive the most advanced manufacturing facilities in Ireland, are in short supply and in huge demand. This year the course will be on the CAO with the code SG335.
We believe that this will not only make getting a degree more affordable, but will also result in a better learning experience and make a better, more employable engineer.
This new initiative from IT Sligo, which has become Ireland’s leading provider of online education for adults with over 4600 students, has so far received the support of over 25 employers from around the country, who wish to take on students.
